For Tuesdays with Toyota, we are spotlighting some of USATF's most dedicated members with a short feature on USATF.org and our social media channels. Here is our first feature of the year with 43-year-old coach and masters athlete Latisha Moulds, a member of the USATF Gulf Association from St. Johns, Florida. "I have been a part of USATF as an athlete and coach for almost 20 years. I started track and field as a teenager and have been competing at all levels (High school, college and Air Force International team) since then. I'm currently a Masters track & field athlete as well as a high school coach and Military International coach. I have built community by inspiring my youth athletes as well as my military athletes through my coaching, mentoring and their own USATF experiences. It has affected my journey by the drive I see in my athletes to work hard on a daily basis on and off the track. Their drive gives me the extra motivation to keep going in the sport and to keep pushing onward and upward! I wish more people knew how much of an advocate I am for the sport. I promote USATF every chance I get via word of mouth, as an athlete and coach on both the military and civilian side, through my athletes, as a paid coach as well as a volunteer coach and as a parent of a USATF athlete. I am most thankful to USATF for the amazing opportunity to build relationships and network with other runners from all over the world. I have run and competed in 33 states and 15 countries to date. My goal is to compete in every state and at least 30 countries before I retire from competing in the sport. Sports bring unity, lifelong bonds and friends. One of my many and most recent favorite USATF memories is breaking the W40- 4x200M relay American Record at the 2019 World Masters Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland. I’m currently an active duty Air National Guard Recruiting & Retention Superintendent for the state of Florida with more than 25 years of service to our great nation and a 20 year member of the amazing Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc." Check back the second Tuesday of each month for a new Member Spotlight for Tuesdays with Toyota.
